BRIDGEWATER, Va -- U.S. Senate Candidate George Allen spoke with a crowd of hundreds at Dynamic Aviation on Friday. He discussed pensions, handling the U.S. debt and owning a small business. He also spoke about funding the military and took questions from the audience.
Allen talked about taxes and how higher taxes prevent businesses from hiring and he said that led to unemployment.
“Raising taxes means less money for investment and fewer jobs,” said Allen. “With this weak economy, the last thing you should be doing is raising taxes. It'll only cause more job losses.”
Allen stopped at Dynamic Aviation in part because it is a small business, and he mentioned how the company could benefit from lower taxes.
