HARRISONBURG, Va –-- The Islamic Center of the Shenandoah Valley was vandalized sometime on Thursday night. The center is a place of worship for people of Islamic faith.
We cannot show the vandalism in its entirety because the images were very vulgar. It appeared to be male genitalia and was spray painted as well as racial slurs against blacks, and vulgar references to Iraqis.
WHSV staff have contacted with police. We do know the FBI has been contacted about this as well.
