Easter came early for children in Waynesboro on Saturday.
About 100 kids searched for Easter eggs hidden in Waynesboro's Public Library.
It's all in an effort to let families know that a library can be a fun place.
The library's youth services director, Bethany Rose, said she hopes families walk away knowing the library is a community resource and that it helps to encourage reading.
"It's a place of learning, and there are lots of books here," Rose said. "But, it can be intimidating. A lot of people have the idea that you need to be quiet in the library and it's not a place for fun. We just want to remind people to come on in. We have a lot of fun here, too."
Local businesses donated several raffle prices and treats for the hunt.
The library's assistant director said they're thankful for the support.
