HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) -- Before you go to the polls, we have some dos and don'ts to ease your voting experience.

You must have a form of valid identification, which includes a drivers license. You can wear campaign buttons as you vote, but you cannot leave any sample ballots or materials inside a private booth. Lastly, campaigners cannot loiter or hand out materials within a 40-foot area of the precinct.

"It gives voters good access to the precinct, and it keeps them from being harassed by people, but are too enthusiastic," said Jim Gilchrist, vice chairman of the Harrisonburg Electoral Board.
