Virginia State Police say the woman who was injured in an accident on Interstate 81 Friday morning is in fair condition.
Janet Gray Downes, 47, of Weyers Cave was flown to the University of Virginia Medical Center after her vehicle ran off of the interstate and landed on Early Road in Harrisonburg.
Downes was traveling northbound in a 2006 Scion when she ran off the interstate, hit two embankments, drove through a fence and overturned the vehicle on Early Road.
The single vehicle crash is under investigation by Trooper DJ Bowman of the Virginia State Police.
