The Harrisonburg Police Department recently arrested a man for allegedly sexually assaulting a female on Sunday.

During the early-morning hours, the female victim flagged down a cab in the area of Copper Beech.

The victim reported that while riding in the cab, the driver inappropriately touched her several different times.

When the cab stopped, the victim was able to flee from the vehicle.

On Sunday evening, Kiros H. Lema, 31, of Harrisonburg was arrested and charged with sexual battery.

The Harrisonburg Police Department encourages residents to always travel in groups, especially late at night. It is also important to immediately report suspicious activity to police.
