AUGUSTA COUNTY,Va. (WHSV) -- Two men are in jail after law enforcement said they broke into several churches and businesses in the area.
According to the Augusta County Sheriff's Office, Joel Deaton, 20, from Augusta County, and Troy Van Moos, 19, from Mount Sydney, were both arrested on Friday on several breaking and entering charges, among other offenses.
Officers said the men hit several churches in early August including Calvary United Methodist Church in Stuarts Draft, Kingdom Hall and the Staunton Alliance Church.
Businesses were also broken into including the Natural Chimneys Visitors Center, Ciro's Pizza in Mount Sydney and the Stuarts Draft Pool.
Joel Deaton also faces charges for breaking and entering Zion Lutheran Church.
According to law enforcement, both men took cash and electronics from those spots and most of the electronics were recovered.
