The sudden change in weather can bring some potentially dangerous situations.

In new hope Thursday night, a tin roof covering tore off in the high winds.

A crumpled piece of metal next to the Bethel United Methodist Church in New Hope use to be apart of the roof.

The high winds peeled it off and blew it into the parking lot.

Several fire departments came to secure the metal sheet to keep it out of harm's way.

"Everyone should be very careful with these weather conditions," stressed fire fighter Adam Morris.

Wind gusts in Augusta county reached nearly 50 miles per hour.

The Augusta County Emergency Operations Center says there have been several trees down in the area.

So far no injuries have been reported.
