Folks from all over the valley showed up in Staunton Wednesday to help celebrate the Fourth of July.
The festivities began bright and early in Gypsy Hill Park.
Antique cars, colorful floats and of course, patriotic music were some of Wednesday’s highlights.
Hundreds of people came out to help celebrate the nation's independence.
And for some, the Staunton Parade is part of an annual tradition with their kids.
Resident Richard Watts says, "Just starting a tradition, letting them recognize the importance and the values of [the] celebration of our independence; being free. The freedom that we have, the importance of that and what our soldiers are fighting for today."
The festivities will continue in Staunton Wednesday night with a concert in Gypsy Hill Park followed by fireworks.
