One-thousand dollars was awarded this morning (2/25/10) to Verona Elementary School.

The grant came from Project 3, a program involving TV-3, local businesses and area schools.

Papa John's Pizza made the donation and chose the winner. The money will go for school supplies for the school's positive-discipline program.

"They will be rewarded with brave bucks daily to promote good behavior, good manners and being respectful of their teachers and their peers. And as they earn those brave bucks they can turn those in to purchase items from our school store," says parent Renne Kershner.
