With the standards of learning testing right around the corner, one elementary school found a way to get motivated in a big way.

More than 450 children at McGaheysville Elementary had reason to get excited Friday at a pep rally.

The rally was aimed at getting kids excited about performing well on their state SOL tests next week.

The kids got to check out race cars and watch their favorite teachers race each other in go carts.
