With a new school comes new issues and one concern on many parents' minds is the bus system at Cub Run Elementary.

Since the redistricting in Rockingham County, the school board has heard complaints from parents about the high number of students on some of the buses and the long routes for pick ups and drop offs.

Megan Amberg is a parent of two Cub Run students and she says letters have been sent to the school board asking them to address the issue.

She says, "There's too many kids on the bus, it seems to be. And also the time on the bus is really long. In the mornings, it OK, but in the afternoons my kids are on the bus for an hour and 15 minutes."

Rockingham County Superintendent Dr. Carol Fenn says, "After four days, I think we are doing pretty well. There will be some new changes even yet this week and I think families should expect changes, maybe additional buses, as early as next week."

Fenn says re-adjustments will be made until the necessary changes are in place. She also asks parents with any concerns to address them with her or with the Cub Run principal.
