Monday night, the Rockingham County School Board will talk about serving lunch to students.
This is after a student was given bread and milk because her parents hadn't paid.
Superintendent, Dr. Carol Fenn says the school division doesn't have a set policy on this, so, tonight, they'll be talking about practice and procedure.
Dr. Fenn says the school had tried to let the family know they owed money on the lunch account.
Fenn says the school has an online system, so it's convenient and quick for parents to log on and put more money in their kids account.
But exactly what to do when that balance is low is what's up for discussion tongiht.
"I think there will be a real review of the procedure and the practice and the board's intent to make that different will be appreciated and valued," says Dr. Fenn. "We want all children to be fed every day."
Parents can speak at the school board meeting beginning at 7:00 p.m. It's at Cub Run Elementary School.
