There's an entirely new generation growing up right now that were not alive or were too young to remember Sept. 11, 2001.
Today, the post-9/11 era children have learned about the attack and seen images and video of the planes crashing, the towers falling and understand the number of lives tragically lost.
But some are still too young to know what caused the country's deadliest terrorist attack.
Jackson Stokes, 10, was only ten-months-old on Sept. 11, 2001.
“It was a sad day, it was a very sad day. The Twin Towers fell, some people died, I mean it was awful,” said Jackson.
He says he wish he could have been there in person.
“Maybe I could have helped someone if they were hurt, I could have helped them to an ambulance or something.”
Children across the country are sharing the same sentiment and say they want to learn more about the cause of that tragic day ten years ago.
