STAUNTON, Va. – Five of the past six seasons, R.E. Lee has won at least a share of their district title. The past 8 seasons, they've made the playoffs. In 2013, this program intends to keep that winning tradition alive.

If the Leemen make the postseason this season, they'll see new foes, as they move to Group 2A, Conference 36. The only 2A school in the Valley District, Lee will now be grouped with new schools in the playoffs, including local foes Buffalo Gap, East Rockingham, Wilson Memorial and Riverheads.

18 seniors return for David Tibbs, most of whom have played significant minutes the past two seasons. Also returning is quarterback Javon Chisley, now a senior, who will lead a multiple spread again this year. Defensively Lee will base out of a 3-4.

R.E. Lee has now won at least 7 games each year since 2004.
