Washington defensive back Sean Taylor has been
voted to the NFC Pro Bowl team posthumously.
Taylor was murdered last month during an attempted robbery in
his Florida home.
He was voted in as the starting safety for the NFC squad.
The Dallas Cowboys, as led by quarterback Tony Romo and receiver
Terrell Owens, have 11 players on the NFC squad while Green Bay has
three. Packers quarterback Brett Favre will start for the NFC quad.
Unbeaten New England leads the way in the AFC with eight players
chosen, including quarterback Tom Brady and receiver Randy Moss.
Taylor is the first player to make an all-star team posthumously
in any sport since goaltender Pelle Lindbergh made the
NHL All-Star game in February 1986. He had been killed in an auto
accident the previous November.
