The New York Giants are champions of the National Football League. In one of the best Super Bowl's ever played, the Giants scored twice in the fourth quarter to beat the previously unbeaten New England Patriots 17-14. As he presented the Lombardi Trophy to the Giants, commissioner Roger Goodell called the game, "amazing".
New York quarterback Eli Manning, who was named the games MVP, led the way with two touchdown passes in the final period. His first scoring pass put the Giants in front 10-7 early in the fourth quarter. Tom Brady of the Patriots led his team to the lead with 2:42 left in the game before Manning took center stage again.
