Wilson Memorial is coming off back-to-back Shenandoah District titles. The Green Hornets lost in the second round of the playoffs last season as the number one seed, but they return 17 starters, including leading rushers Juh-Quan McCauley and Savant Swift. Everybody knows the Green Hornets are for real. The next step is dealing with that pressure week in and week out.

"Well they just gotta know that everybody's after you now," said head coach Jeremiah Major. "It's a good problem to have. Every week is kind of like a rivalry. There's a lot of teams that want to get back at us, and I understand that because we used to be on that side too, but we don't feel like we are on top. We feel like sometimes we're still the underdog, and that's fine. It's just keeping the guys in perspective and knowing you gotta take it one week at a time."
