There's a fresh face in Petersburg. New head coach Frank Isaacs says his players are trying to adapt to a whole new scheme.
Isaacs says, "Their learning everything for the first time. We do a zone blocking scheme and a zone offense. That's something they've never seen before, but attitude wise and effort wise these kids have been unbelievable. And I can't complain one bit about what they've put forth so far."
He will have a challenge on his hands as he tries to turn a program around that hasn't seen the playoffs in more than ten years.
"A lot of what I've heard in the past is they've not had that, not been competitive and respectable. We're going to change that," says Isaacs. "We have a three year plan here and by the third year we want to be in the playoffs. What I've seen right now, we're well on our way to that."
