Trevor Sites drove in three runs as Moorefield beat Man 9-3 in the Class A championship game Saturday night.
Moorefield (24-6) earned its first state title since 2002.
Man (19-14) made its first championship game appearance and showed no signs of wear from a ten-inning win over Madonna in the semifinals Friday night.
Man took a 3-2 lead into the bottom of the fourth before Moorefield went ahead to stay. The Yellow Jackets scored three times on only one hit with the benefit of three walks. Tucker Smith's single scored two runs and Sites capped the rally with a sacrifice fly.
Moorefield added four runs in the sixth, highlighted by Shawn Hibbard's two-run double.
Hibbard also pitched three-plus innings of relief.
