The preseason recognition has begun for James Madison kick returner Scotty McGee.

The rising senior is a first-team member of the Sports Network's preseason FCS All-America team, released Friday.

McGee was named a National Coaches Association All-American, and All-CAA following last season, when he returned three punts and one kickoff for touchdowns.

His 69-yard punt return for a score with just one second left on the clock gave the Dukes a 38-31 win at eventual national champions Richmond last October, and his 99-yard kickoff return touchdown ignited a furious second half comeback against Appalachian State last September. The Dukes won that game 35-32, after trailing 21-0 at halftime.

Joining McGee on the Sports Network first team is rising senior defensive lineman Sam Daniels. Daniels had 42 tackles as a junior, including six sacks, and was named third-team All-CAA following the season.

Rising senior Dorian Brooks was the lone Duke named to the second team. Brooks was a season-long starter at offensive guard last season, earning postseason honorable mention All-America honors from the Sports Network.

The CAA had a total of 20 players named to the Sports Network FCS All-America team, including four from Villanova and three from the defending champion Spiders.
