She already has one CAA Player of the Year award.
On Friday, James Madison senior forward Corky Julien was named the conference's 2009 preseason Player of the Year.
Julien led James Madison University with 16 goals and 35 points as a junior. The Ontario native spent this past March starting for Team Canada in the Cyprus Cup.
Julien and the Dukes open the 2009 season at 7 p.m. Saturday at home against Richmond.
The Dukes are coming off a Sweet 16 run in last year's NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament, the furthest the team had advanced since 1996.
Earlier this week JMU was picked to win the CAA, which came as news to the Dukes.
"We actually didn't know," junior goalkeeper Diane Wszalek said Friday. "We had a session with the sports psych guy, Dr. Bob, and he told us. And we were all, 'Oh, okay.'"
"I think these kids are mature enough," coach Dave Lombardo said. "We're returning nine of 11 starters, and I think they understand what the responsibility is that goes along with this."
"We expect to win the CAA every year," said junior midfielder Morven Ross. "So if other people say it, that's fine. Let's go out and prove it to them."
