Washington Redskins left tackle Chris Samuels says he hopes to play again, but it'll be a while before he decides whether he can.
The six-time Pro Bowler released a statement Friday night saying he will continue to seek medical advice for the neck injury that has put his career in jeopardy. He said he has not made a decision about his future, but he said he loves playing for the Redskins and hopes to be back.
Samuels said he needs to see how he progresses "over the next couple months," making it appear unlikely he will play again this season.
Samuels was injured when he banged heads with a defensive player while throwing a block early in the first quarter of Washington's loss to Carolina two weeks ago.
