LeBron James scored 31 points and the
Cleveland Cavaliers completed a four-game sweep of their
opening-round series by beating the Washington Wizards 97-to-90.
James shot just 8-for-22 from the field but made 14 of his 17
free throws to help the Cavs become the third team to finish a
sweep in the Eastern Conference quarterfinals.
James also had eleven rebounds and seven assists, including
back-to-back assists to Zydrunas Ilgauskas (zuh-DROO'-nuhs
ihl-GOWS'-kuhs) in the final minute.
Ilgauskas finished with 20 points and 19 rebounds while Larry
Hughes added 19 points. The two combined to score 18 of Cleveland's
final 20 points.
Antawn Jamison scored 31 points for the Wizards, who led by one
heading into the fourth quarter.
