Spurs Eliminate Nuggets in Five

Michael Finley poured in 26 points and the
San Antonio Spurs reached the Western Conference semifinals with a
93-to-78 stifling of Denver.
Finley set a team playoff record for three-pointers in a game,
going 8-for-9 from beyond the arc. He helped the Spurs go 10-for-21
from three-point range.
Tim Duncan added 23 points and 12 rebounds while Tony Parker
added 16 points and ten assists.
The Spurs held the Nuggets to 30 points in the second half and
pulled away by outscoring the Nuggets 30-to-19 in the fourth
quarter.
Allen Iverson scored ten of his 21 points in the fourth quarter
but shot just 6-for-22. Carmelo Anthony had 21 points on 8-of-20
shooting for the Nuggets, who haven't won a playoff series since
1994.
San Antonio dropped the first game of the series before earning
the right to play either Phoenix or the Los Angeles Lakers in the
second round.
