Coach Matt Brady is calling sophomore Andrey Semenov a game-time decision for James Madison's home opener Saturday against Maryland-Baltimore County.
Semenov played just 12 minutes in the Dukes' loss to Murray State last Friday in Miami, and sat out the team's back-to-back wins over Florida International and N.C. Central.
"Andrey had some back difficulty, and had some pain shooting down his left leg," Brady explained Wednesday.
Semenov didn't practice Wednesday. Brady said Semenov would try to practice Thursday and Friday.
"If we can use him on Saturday, that'd be great. And if he's not ready to go, we just won't play him," Brady said. "We just need to make sure he's closer to 100 percent than he is where he is right now."
