ARCH-RIVALS

The Turner Ashby boys’ soccer team has had a nearly flawless season going 17 and one winning the district regular season title and earning berth in the regionals.

However that one setback still stuck in their craw and it came courtesy of tonight's district title opponent arch-rival Harrisonburg.

To Bridgewater where Turner Ashby athletic director Greg Troxell already had one piece of hardware in his trophy case for the knights regular season title. Would TA add the second?

At the half TA was up 1-0 but it must have seemed like 10-0 to the streaks the way Micah Zwanzig was minding net.

His counterpart Hunter Johnson got a lot more shots coming his way and he did all he could to keep his team in the game.

But there was no de-railing the TA train tonight. Midway through the final stanza Chris Hulse's shot gets deflected at point blank range. Johnson can't recover and the Knights are on their way to the 2-0 tournament championship victory.
