National Signing Day is once again anticlimactic for former Harrisonburg star Alex Owah.
Wednesday is National Signing Day, the first day high school and junior college players can sign a binding Letter of Intent with a college.
A year ago, Owah, who was then a senior at Harrisonburg and a one-time verbal commit to Virginia, elected not to commit to a school on signing day. Owah eventually decided to play a season at Hargrave Military Academy.
This year, Owah will once again forgo signing a letter of intent, because he doesn't need to.
Owah enrolled at East Carolina last month, making himself eligible to participate in spring drills with the Pirates.
According to the school's website, Owah signed a grant-in-aid with the football program when he enrolled.
Despite the early enrollment, Owah is considered a member of East Carolina's recruiting class of 2010.
