Towson Advances in CAA Men's Tourney Opener
Richmond, Va. (AP) RaShawn Polk scored 14 of his season-high 20 points in the first half and Towson routed North Carolina-Wilmington 91-74 Friday in the quarterfinals of the Colonial Athletic Association tournament.

RaShawn Polk scored 14 of his season-high 20 points in the first half and Towson routed North Carolina-Wilmington 91-74 Friday in the quarterfinals of the Colonial Athletic Association tournament.
The eighth-seeded Tigers (10-20) will put their season-best three-game win streak on the line against top-seeded Old Dominion in the semifinals Saturday. Towson won its fourth straight first-round tournament game.
Ninth-seeded UNC-Wilmington (9-22) lost 14 of its last 17 games.
Towson dominated the first half, setting a season high with 52 points en route to a 22-point lead. Calvin Lee began the run, scoring eight points in the first 6:54 as the Tigers ran off to a 20-10 start.
The Tigers, who never trailed, shot 54.8 percent from the field.
Towson stretched its lead to 82-52 with 10:55 to play. The Seahawks pulled no closer than 18 in the second half.
