The James Madison women's basketball team won't have to travel far for its first round game in the NCAA tournament.
The Dukes (26-6), which earned the No. 9 seed in the Dayton region, learned Monday night they will play in Norfolk, Virginia against eighth-seeded Temple Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
The Owls (24-8) were selected as an at-large, after falling to fifth-ranked Xavier in the Atlantic 10 championship.
JMU won the CAA tournament title last week for the first time in 21 years to earn its first NCAA berth since 2006-07.
If the Dukes were to beat Temple, they would play No. 1 seed Connecticut, the defending national champions and winner of 72 straight games, or No. 16 seed Southern.
