NASCAR will switch from a wing to a spoiler at next weekend's race at Martinsville Speedway.
NASCAR vice president of competition Robin Pemberton confirmed Wednesday that the transition from the rear wing to the spoiler will begin at Martinsville.
NASCAR had targeted that race, the fifth of the season, to return to a traditional spoiler. The setup was tested Tuesday at Talladega Superspeedway, and there's a two-day test scheduled for next week at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
