Spotswood's Organ Named AA All-State

Josh Henderson stands above everyone in Group AA basketball.

The six-foot-11-inch force in Cave Spring's drive to a second consecutive Division 3 state basketball championship player was a unanimous first-team choice for The Associated Press Group AA boys basketball team, and is the player of the year.

Henderson averaged 19.7 points, 10.2 rebounds and 3.9 blocks as Cave Spring went 25-4 and repeated as champions.

Casey Walker of Division 3 runnerup Brunswick and Marlon Organ of Spotswood also were unanimous choices in balloting by sports writers from around the state. The panel also voted Lucas Mihailovich of Potomac Falls and Steve Allen of New Kent to the first team.

Jeff Hawes, who guided Potomac Falls to the Division 4 title, is the coach of the year.
