CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) -- Virginia opponents may start seeing a different approach to offense from the Cavaliers.

The Cavaliers (1-1) host VMI (1-2) of the lower tier Championship Subdivision on Saturday.

Coach Mike London's team is coming off a bye week that followed a 59-10 loss to No. 2 Oregon. The time was mostly used to address offensive deficiencies, and London says much of it focused on Watford.

The coaches want the redshirt sophomore to use his speed for more than keeping passing plays alive, and they want to incorporate more downfield throwing in the offense in the hopes of opening things up.

They might get to see how that kind of approach looks against the Keydets.

Quarterback Eric Kordenbrock has thrown for 683 yards and six touchdowns in the last two games.
