Jay Thompson hit a three-run homer to give Stuarts Draft a 3-0 victory over Clover Hill to seal their third straight RCBL championship.

The game was scoreless until Thompson's home run in the bottom of the fifth inning. Jeremy Fitzgerald pitched a scoreless complete game for the Diamondbacks in the win.

Stuarts Draft won the championship series 4-1. They also beat the Bucks in the finals for the second straight year.

"It feels amazing," said Stuarts Draft first baseman Ryan Cooper. "The first one is sweet, but every time we win it we feel like we have something else to prove. When we won it for the first time it was special, but every one after that, we feel like we have to do more to show that we deserve to keep it."

"They just really gutted it out," said Diamondbacks head coach Tinker Kiser. "We got hits when we needed them. We got pitching when we needed it. Somehow or another, we managed to pull it off. They're a great ball team over there."
