Early Commitments to Play Greenbrier Classic

Phil Mickelson, Sergio Garcia, Tom Watson and defending champion Stuart Appleby are among the early commitments to this year's Greenbrier Classic.

Greenbrier resort owner Jim Justice made the announcement Monday. The PGA Tour event is being held July 28 to 31 in White Sulphur Springs.

Watson, the Greenbrier's golf pro emeritus, had to miss last year's inaugural Greenbrier Classic due to a commitment to play in the U.S. Senior Open.

Justice also completed the tournament's concert slate by announcing the Black Eyed Peas will perform on July 29 in Fairlea. Other acts announced previously included Tim McGraw and Luke Bryan July 28 and Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert July 30.

Weekly badges for this year's tournament will include tickets to the concerts.
