Former Millbrook Pioneer and Virginia Tech Hokie Erick Green was drafted in the second round by the Utah Jazz late Thursday night.
The first round came, without a call for Green, as did picks 31-45. But pick 46, from the Utah Jazz, was finally when last year's NCAA scoring champion finally found his professional destination--sort of.
Though the Utah Jazz drafted the guard, reports from ESPN say the team has already agreed to trade the rights to sign Green to the Denver Nuggets.
Green is the first Hokie to be selected in the NBA draft since 2008.
Former Fort Defiance Indian Dell Curry remains the last first round pick to come out of Virginia Tech, back in 1986.
