After the Dukes first trip to the playoffs since 2008, Mickey Matthews and the JMU football coaching staff are changing things up a bit for 2012.

Former JMU standout safety Tony LeZotte is now a full time assistant coach after Maurice Linquist left the Dukes to coach at the University of Buffalo. LeZotte will coach safeties, the same position he played at JMU when he was a two-time first team All-American.

LeZotte was the Atlantic-10's first four-time All-America and four-time First Team All-League player. He was only the second player in JMU history to be elected as a team captain for three years.

Isai Bradshaw will move to coaching the defensive line to fill the position of J.C. Price who is now the Defensive Line Coach at Marshall University. Bradshaw is in his fifth year working with the JMU football team.

Bradshaw was a four-year letterwinner at defensive line and linebacker.

Bradshaw and LeZotte were members of the 2004 National Championship JMU Football team.

Offensive Coordinator Jeff Durden will resume the role of Quarterbacks Coach after spending a season coaching the Dukes' tight ends. Durden will also take over play-calling duties.

In 2011 Matthews acted as Head Coach, Quarterbacks Coach and called most of the offensive plays.

JMU is still searching to fill two openings on the coaching staff.
