Moorefield: Young But Talented

A year ago, Moorefield worked their way back to the playoffs for the first time since 2006, the Yellow Jackets falling to the eventual state champions, Wheeling-Central, in the state quarterfinals. They finished the season with an 8-4 record in 2011.

In 2012, head coach Josh See is left with an inexperienced, but talented group that is thinking about the postseason again. See says, even though the team is young, leadership and enthusiasm are not lacking, something he hopes has Moorefield primed for another solid season.

Returning at quarterback is junior Adam Snyder. The Yellow Jackets will stick to the Wing-T formation with several variations, including a no-huddle option.

Defensively Moorefield will switch to a 4-4 set, attempting to utilize speed over size.

Moorefield's 2012 schedule looks like this:

8/25 – WIRT CO.
8/31 – @FRANKFORT
9/7 – SOUTHERN GARRETT, MD
9/14 – @TUCKER CO.
9/21 – WARREN CO., VA
9/28 – BERKLEY SPRINGS
10/5 – OPEN
10/12 – EAST HARDY
10/19 – PETERSBURG
10/26 – @PENDLETON CO.
11/4 – @TYGARTS VALLEY
