Page Co. Wins First Baseball State Title

Page County jumped out to a 3-0 lead and held on to win their first baseball state title in school history 3-1 over Riverheads at Kiwanis Park in Salem, Va.

This was the sixth meeting between the two teams this season.

Timmy Cave led Page Co. going 3-for-4 with 2 RBI. Patrick Cubbage threw a complete game on the mound.

As a team, Page recorded 11 hits.

Riverheads was led by Kyle Wilson and Cody Swisher, each with two hits on the day.

Four months ago, the Panthers came one basket shy of winning their first basketball state title in school history.

Riverheads took home the Division 1 state title in football, back in December.
