Harrisonburg, Va. - The Royals suffered their first ODAC loss of the season Saturday afternoon, falling 2-1 at 2011 conference champion Randolph College.

Although EMU got the first shot of the game, the WildCats controlled the opening minutes. They ended up scoring in the 23rd minute on a free kick.

RC kept the 1-0 lead until midway through the second when Carl Becker (Vienna, VA/James Madison) stuck a loose ball into the net in the 68th minute.

But Randolph had a quick response, going back in front five minutes later on a header from a corner kick. Eastern Mennonite got only one more shot over the final 17 minutes, but Jonathan Bush's (Pottstown, PA/Owen J. Roberts) attempt was saved with less than four minutes to play.

The WildCats had a 13-9 advantage in shots, including a tight 6-5 edge on goal. Andrew Yoder (Harrisonburg, VA/Eastern Mennonite) made four saves for EMU.

Christian Rhine (Palmyra, PA/Palmyra) was the only Royal with more than one shot, as he launched three attempts.

The loss drops the soccer men to 6-5-1 on the season, including 3-1 in the conference. The Royals are tied atop the ODAC standings with three other teams, including Bridgewater, who they host on Tuesday at 7:00pm.
