BRIDGEWATER, Va. – After a tough start to 2012, Turner Ashby responded with four wins in their final six games, narrowly missing the playoffs. In 2013 the Knights are hoping to take another step forward and contend for another Valley District crown.

The Knights, return two key starters at skill positions on offense, Evan Hanifee at quarterback and Shane Brown at running back. Speed will be a strength for this squad. Offensively Turner Ashby will primarily run a spread wing-t attack. Defensively TA will mostly turn to a 3-4 or 5-3 depending on the situation.

Turner Ashby, once again will face one of the area's toughest schedules, with all four non-district match-ups coming against teams that made the playoffs last season, including Brookville, the two time defending state champions, who open the season on a 28 game win streak.
