BLACKSBURG, Va. (AP) -- Suspended reserve wide receiver Xavier
Boyce has transferred from Virginia Tech to Norfolk State.
The school in Norfolk says Boyce, a redshirt sophomore, has been
admitted to school and is practicing with the Spartans. Boyce's future with the Hokies became uncertain when he and his girlfriend were arrested in March on child abuse charges involving his infant daughter. He was immediately suspended from all athletic-related activities. The charges against his girlfriend were later dropped.
Boyce played in 25 games with the Hokies and made 11 receptions.His transfer was first reported by The Virginian-Pilot of Norfolk
