HARRISONBURG, Va. -- James Madison is looking to add a 12th game to their 2013 football schedule.

A source tells WHSV Sports that nothing has been finalized, but a contract is in the works with UNC-Charlotte for a game this September in Harrisonburg and a future game at Charlotte.

If and/or when the contract is signed, JMU would have seven home games and five road games this season.

Charlotte cancelled their November game at Old Dominion for this season, opening up their schedule for another game.

The 49ers are playing their first season of collegiate football in 2013 as an FCS team, but will join Conference-USA in 2015.
