The James Madison women will enter next week's CAA basketball tournament as the bracket's top seed.
The Dukes clinched the league's regular season title with a 79-77 win over UNC-Wilmington Wednesday night at the Convocation Center.
It was an emotional win for the Dukes, who recognized the team's four seniors, Dawn Evans, Lauren Jimenez, Jalissa Taylor and Courtney Hamner, prior to their regular season finale.
Jimenez finished with a career-high 31 points in the win, including and 11-of-12 performance from the free throw line.
Evans added 18 for the Dukes, pushing her past former Drexel star Gabriela Marginean as the CAA's all-time leading scorer.
JMU won't play again until next Friday's first CAA quarterfinal, when the Dukes will face the winner of Thursday's George Mason/Georgia St. first-round game.
