Jack McClinton hit two three pointers in the final 1:06 to lift Miami to a 68-to-60 victory over Number 24 Virginia. McClinton led Miami with 14 points. With the score tied at 58, McClinton hit a 3-pointer to put the Hurricanes ahead for good. After J-R Reynolds converted on two free throws to reduce the Hurricanes' lead to 61-to-60 with 52 seconds remaining, McClinton hit his second 3-pointer with 25 seconds to play. Brian Asbury secured the victory with four free throws in the final 15 seconds and Miami improved to 11-16 and 4-9 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Sean Singletary scored 17 points to lead the Cavaliers (18-8, 9-4 ACC).
