T.A.'s Kayla Becker strives for excellence, in everything she does. "My parents are always challenging me to do the best in every area, whether it's academically, athletically, or even musically. I want to do everything for the glory of God, and that makes me want to do my best in everything," says Kayla Becker.
"She has a moral integrity that just comes out of her in everything she says and does. It's not overbearing, but it's very much a part of who she is," says Kayla's English Teacher Dee Grimm.
The integrity shows in the classroom. Kayla has a 4.0 GPA, she'll graduate with AP and dual enrollment credits, she is currently
ranked 15th in her class, and she gets it done on the field too.
"She comes to practice every single day with a smile on her face and it is a joy just to be around her," Kayla's Soccer Coach Renee Cleaver.
"Whenever I laced up my spikes, I knew I had to put my game face on. I
had a job to do and if I gave anything less than 100%, I'd let my team down. And I never wanted to do that," says Kayla Becker.
Kayla was on the cross country district championship team, In soccer, she's been second team all district and honorable mention for
the all-region, and to top it off, she's an All-State Singer!
"She's figured out something that a lot of adults haven't figured
out how to do it all in your life and let it work for you in a way that just,
there's just a sense of joy in everything she does. I think that's pretty
remarkable for an adolescent," says Dee Grimm.
"I consider myself lucky to coach a kid like Kayla. She's a great role
model to everyone on that team," says Renee Cleaver.
