FORT DEFIANCE, Va. (WHSV) -- Fort Defiance High School's Megan Good is awfully good at an awful lot.
She's an all-district basketball player, all-state softball pitcher and in the fall, a killer volleyball player.
Good is approaching state records for both kills and digs, but she said her teammates set the table for her success.
"I couldn't have done it without my teammates, because you have to have a good pass and a good set in order to get a kill. So, it's not just me," said Good
"She is humble. She will not talk about herself. She will not boast. She knows it's not just Megan by herself," said Sue Leonard, Good's volleyball coach.
Good has accomplished a lot on her own though.
She's all-district in volleyball, basketball and softball and maintains a 4.0 GPA.
"Megan is very dedicated to her studies. She's a leader in many different ways at Fort Defiance High School. On the field, on the court, and in the classroom," said Dan Tratnack, Good's AP Government teacher.
"It's not just gonna be sports one day. You're going to have to eventually get a job, and for you to do well in the classroom makes it easier down the road," said Good.
Good plans to play one of her three sports down the road next year.
"Next year I have verbally committed at JMU to play softball and I am hoping to be a physical therapist," said Good.
"She not only is leaving her mark, both academically and in the athletic arena, but I do hope she's kind of set a high bar for people to try to next year and the year after she's gone to aspire to that level," said Leonard.
