Morgan joined WHSV in June 2013 as an anchor and reporter and became the Daybreak anchor in November 2013.
While she is new to the Valley, she isn't a stranger to Central and Southwest Virginia. She comes to WHSV from Roanoke, Virginia, where she worked as a digital journalist and fill-in anchor at WSLS. During her time at WSLS, she covered several stories including President Obama's visit to Roanoke, the 2011 tornadoes in Pulaski County, and the powerful Derecho storm which left thousands of Virginians without power. Her coverage of the Derecho storm, helped win the station a Regional Murrow award. Prior to her start at WSLS, she interned at WTVD in Raleigh, North Carolina and Fox News in New York City.
A 2010 graduate of North Carolina State University, Morgan is a huge NC State Wolfpack fan. From football to basketball, Morgan is always cheering on what she calls the best team in North Carolina While at NC State, Morgan traveled to China for a semester to study international relations and business in Southeast Asia. Her adventure didn't stop there! This avid traveler spent several months traveling to Cambodia, Thailand. But there is no place like home, and now she loves traveling around Virginia!
