While with TV3 Winchester he covered big stories like the derecho of 2012, Hurricane Sandy and the 2012 Presidential Election.
He has also been nominated by the Virginia Association of Broadcasters as an Outstanding Feature Reporter. He was also featured in the Wayside Theatre's production of "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee."

Channing is originally from West Pennsylvania and has always had a passion for cameras and video. He graduated from Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, PA with degrees in media arts, theatre and international studies. At RMU, he worked on a Telly Award-winning show called RMU-Live.
In addition, he performed regularly with the Colonial Theatre and Pittsburgh Musical Theater. His favorite roles include The Phantom in "Phantom of the Opera" and Roger in "Rent." He also interned, shadowed, and researched with forecasters in both the United States and Finland as part of a comparative study on commercial vs. public broadcasting.

In his free time, Channing likes to run, go railfanning, taste new wines, and take in the local arts scene. He's always up for a new adventure and looking for local story ideas. Share your ideas with him on Facebook and Twitter or shoot him an e-mail at
