McKinsey Harris joined the WHSV News 3 Team as a reporter in May 2009. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a major in Journalism and Mass Communication.

McKinsey, a North Carolina native, grew up in Charlotte and discovered a passion for news at a young age. While in college, McKinsey spent her summers interning in Charlotte at WCCB and WCNC, the local Fox and NBC affiliates.

McKinsey enjoys traveling, as she spent a semester abroad in Florence, Italy. She also loves spending time with her family and friends, watching movies, meeting new people, and cheering on the Carolina Tar Heels – GO HEELS!!
